Arconic is currently in search of Paint Operations Mechanic to join our Building and Construction Team in Springdale, Arkansas.

JOB DUTIES:

  • General Electrical, Mechanical, and Hydraulic Troubleshooting Skills
    • Identify Problems and formulate solutions to fix the problems
    • Fix most problems with minimal assistance from a higher skill level employee
  • Troubleshoot small electrical circuits and find problems
  • Troubleshoot small pumping circuits and pump failures
  • Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical drive systems such as belts, motors, and chains with minimal assistance
  • Repair mechanical failures in a timely fashion
  • Troubleshoot, repair and contribute improvements to all in-house industrial controls, programmable controllers, etc., and performs preventative maintenance functions to all Paint Line equipment
  • Perform preventative, proactive, and if required reactive maintenance to all Paint Line equipment
  • Help implement, drive and lead Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities. Create, document and lead preventative maintenance activities
  • Assist in writing operational manuals and procedures relating to the operation and maintaining of Paint Line equipment
  • Must be flexible and willing to come back to the plant on days off in cases of maintenance emergencies

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints in a swift and effective manner
  • Knowledge of electrical circuitry with the ability to troubleshoot failed cards and system components

Experience preferred:

  • Two-year associate degree or a completed journeyman program in related field preferred
  • 5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Skill set must include:

  • Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to verbally communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Conflict Management Skills
  • Ability to maintain awareness of the maintenance budget and if we are over or under budget in general
  • Ability to work safely and follow all the EHS requirements
