Job Description

Georgia-Pacific has an immediate opening for a Fiber Sales Manager - in our Wood and Fiber Supply organization. This role will be office based out of Atlanta, GA (preferred) with consideration for office based at other GP Wood and Fiber locations within the geographic area covered by this role.


Georgia-Pacific Wood and Fiber Supply is key to ensuring that GP's 80+ mills maintain a constant flow of logs, wood fiber and chips. W&FS operates in 15 U.S. states, and sources its wood from private lands owned by industrial, institutional, or individual landowners. Reporting to the Fiber Group Manager, this individual will be responsible for by-product sales for a group of mills along the US east coast from Virginia to Florida utilizing highest enterprise return sales strategies through analytical and problem-solving skills to create value for our customers.


What You Will Do

  • Evaluating net highest enterprise value sales programs using analytical and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Work to build mutually beneficial relationships (internal & external) with customers.
  • Applying teamwork and technology to support continual transformation, eliminated waste, and develop innovative solutions to opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensuring all transactions are properly documented, distributed, and align with financial controls.
  • Working in conjunction with W&FS team to manage, all levels of raw material, Administrative, Capital Employed, Contract Management, and Fiber Cost
  • Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, environmental policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Actively representing Wood & Fiber Supply, the facilities we support, at local and regional sourcing initiatives.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Forestry, Business, Supply Chain OR- In Lieu of Degree 10 or more years of experience in sales or Wood & Fiber Procurement.
  • Willing and able to travel as required
  • Sales or Wood & Fiber Procurement experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook


What Will Put You Ahead

  • MBA or Master's degree or higher in Forestry, Business, Supply Chain,
  • Progressive wood products procurement/sales experience.
