Job Description

Drafter/CAD Operator IV

This position requires an active Public Trust or the ability to obtain, US Citizenship is required per our government client.

Prepares routine drafting projects, such as the preparation of various drawings of structures and equipment systems derived from layouts and sketches.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Drafter/CAD Operator IV: $38 - $44/hour.

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Drafter/CAD Operator IV Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepares routine and unique drafting projects, such as the preparation of various drawings including plans, sections, structures and equipment systems derived from layouts, sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • Follows established technical specifications to prepare drawings and assists in design drafting.
  • Consults with engineers and designers regarding model accuracy, design, and drafting standards.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Requires a large degree of creativity and latitude to complete tasks.
  • Will perform a variety of tasks and duties.
  • Attends design meetings and assists in the selection and implementation of hardware and software.
  • Determine means, methods, and materials for work performance.
  • Sets work procedures, priorities, and objectives.
  • Assigns and directs work.
  • Plans the work operation.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Drafter/CAD Operator IV Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Associate degree Required or equivalent experience and job experience in large construction site design and drawings required
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software for drafting complex designs, required
  • Experience working on CAD projects in a team environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members.
  • Time management skills to meet project deadlines effectively.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
