Position Description | The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences at Georgia State University (GSU) seeks exceptional candidates for two non-tenure-track Lecturer positions, starting Fall 2024. We seek candidates in the broadly defined field of chemistry. Instruction will be in core chemistry lectures and laboratory courses, ranging from general chemistry and nursing chemistry to core organic chemistry and upper-level advanced classes and labs. Lecturers' overall effort divides between teaching (80%) and service (20%). Individuals with a record of outstanding teaching accomplishments, a strong background in general or organic chemistry, and college-level teaching experience are strongly encouraged to apply. The Department welcomes applicants with a passion for teaching and mentoring students like those who attend Georgia State. The College of Arts & Sciences supports faculty professional success through mentoring programs and representation of faculty from all ranks in college-level program development. |
