Position Purpose:

In this position, you will play an integral role in creating meaningful and insightful recommendations that will be used in executive decision-making at Stericycle.  By utilizing various data techniques such as statistical analysis and data organization, this role will develop fact based, analytical solutions that support recommendations for the global commercial organization.  While the Senior Sales Operations is an individual contributor role, it will play an important leadership role responsible for building new processes, managing data and helping shape the future for the team. This role will report directly to a Manager of Sales Operations.

Key Job Activities:

 
In this role, you will:
•    Use advanced data tools to prepare recommendations and provide solutions to functional leaders based on the analytical trends and results found in the data and market trends
•    Conduct data mining and analysis for ad hoc projects by leveraging exploratory data analysis and data visualization.  Supports the design and maintenance of data and business intelligence applications and platforms that are internally created
•    Develop and enhance dashboards and visualization applications that transform large, complex data into meaningful insights that management can use to produce informed business decisions
•    Own the data analysis and evaluation that supports building books of business and territories for our sales teams
•    Effectively communicate findings and complex analytical solutions to various levels of management from supervisors to executives
•    Perform rigorous quality assurance steps to deliver highly accurate and reliable work products
•    Deliver reliable, accurate and insightful business intelligence to key stakeholders
•    Possess the ability to thrive in a fast paced, changing environment and work independently to lead key projects
•    Incorporate on-going feedback from stakeholders into existing dashboards and analyses
•    Understand and utilize available tools to solve evolving business problems
•    Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Education:

•    Bachelor’s or equivalent.  (A degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Finance a plus)
•    Three to Ten years of recent experience in a Sales Operations role or Finance role that has directly supported Sales Teams
•    Experience in building sales territories using a territory management software
•    Experience analyzing and organizing customer data to include revenue trends, customer segmentation, customer potential, service mix and geographic attributes
•    Proven experience performing basic analysis and data manipulation and problem-solving skills (Business Objects, Excel, Alteryx, PowerPoint, Tableau, SAP, SQL etc.) 
•    A successful track record in building productive business relationship, both within the department and cross functionally
 

Experience :

•    Minimum of three years of experience and knowledge building reports within a standard reporting application (i.e. SAP Business Objects, Cognos BI, SQL Reporting Services, etc.) and in creating ad hoc data marts for analysis using ETL tool (i.e. SQL, Alteryx, SSIS, etc.)
•    Experience in financial reporting and analysis
•    Proficient in Excel and comfortable using other Microsoft Office products
•    Willingness to expand upon known technical skills and continually develop/learn new technical skills in support of new tools/methods
•    Ability to work independently and manage several simultaneous projects with a focus on results
•    Experience in service and/or healthcare related business preferred, but not required
•    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
