Reporting directly to the Senior Director, the Care Continuum Director (CCD) will provide commercial leadership for business strategies, processes, and major customer relationships for transitions of care and establish favorable commercial access to drive new revenue and expand Smith & Nephew's influence through the care continuum for the S+N NPWT portfolio. Specifically, you will support major IDN conversions to ensure care continuum opportunities are optimized and will be accountable for the advancement of formulary and contract positions in major national and large regional post-acute national accounts and commercial health plans.

The Care Continuum Director (CCD) will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Clinical and Key Accounts to drive business growth, develop strategic market development initiatives and secure commercial that align with key IDNs and strategic partnerships across the care continuum (e.g. Home Health, Managed Wound Care Centers, Long Term Care, Travelling Physician Groups, commercial health plans, and IT Vendors).

What will you be doing?

  • (50%) Lead cross-functional teams to drive key account management for national and major regional customers, including major IDNs for NPWT brands. Responsibilities include:
    • Impacting acute-care business pipeline by implementing post-acute strategies at associated facilities.
    • Developing execution plans for facility evaluations/conversions through coordinating cross-organizational partners.
    • Setting referral strategies for S+N converted acute business.
  • (30%) Develop and implement a systematic approach to enhance business relationships with national and large regional post-acute customers and large IDNs. This aims to drive continuum of care revenues and ensure optimum transitions of care processes. Responsibilities include:
    • Reviewing account buying trends and opportunities using financial models.
    • Recommending, executing, and managing appropriate pricing models and programs.
  • (20%) Develop and/or manage value-add programs, pioneer innovative contracting, and partnership models to secure deeper customer relationships and drive long-term profitable growth.
  • This role involves working remotely and traveling 50 - 75%.

What will you need to be successful?

  • BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred.
  • 5-7+ years of medical sales experience, with a preference for NPWT.
  • 2+ years of sales management experience, ideally as an Executive Sales Representative.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in c-suite, purchasing, and case management interactions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a successful sales track record.
  • Analytical approach and critical thinking, coupled with experience in contract negotiations.
