As a Technology Engineer in Microsoft 365 Copilot data safety, you will play a cross functional leadership role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and secure operation of information technology systems that support Capital Group's business functions. Configures and maintains all Microsoft 365 Copilot platform security capabilities including SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Teams, Copilot Security, Copilot Admin, and others in adherence to Information Security policy. They are a point of escalation for complex and difficult data safety issues and applying expert level technical and analytical abilities to identify, communicate, and resolve complex issues to minimize impact on critical business functions and maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. They also provide guidance and mentoring to other associate engineers. Substantial Microsoft platform knowledge and security process/governance are a fundamental requirement for this role.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $148,045-$236,872
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.

Role Description:
- You will maintain a broad understanding of Capital Group business and the role that M365 platform technology plays in supporting the business.
- You can translate complex business requirements in technology solutions, presenting alternatives and recommending complex solution designs for your product domain.
- You ensure an in-depth understanding of ITG technology strategies and roadmaps.
- You will lead M365 Copilot data safety, integrity, and protection planning efforts.
- You will participate in research of internal improvement opportunities for process re-engineering automation within your domain.
- You will be responsible for the management and feature prioritization of the product/solution.

- You have at least 10 years of Microsoft security engineering experience, being part of a team responsible for SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 offerings.
- You exercise sound judgement in the configuration and securing of the Microsoft 365 platform.
- You preferably have experience with security team partnering, leading configuration adoption.
- You apply best practices for security, performance, and reliability.
- You have experience with data classification, labeling, and sensitivity.
- You troubleshoot and resolve issues with Microsoft 365 security and applications.
- You stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Microsoft 365 security.
- You can deal with ambiguity, manage complexity, and drive for results; ultimately, taking end-to-end ownership of the outcome.
- You can mentor, coach, and partner with other engineers.
