The KIYA House, Inc. is a non-profit, non-sectarian "Group Home" comprehensive facility that provides teens (ages 13 to 18, who are generally identified by the Department of Family and Children Services, Juvenile Justice and Mental Health) with a therapeutic environment and 24-hour guidance. The KIYA House provides teens with a structured, home-like environment that encourages self-awareness, fosters personal growth, instills resiliency, inspires respect for self and others, and creates life-long behavioral changes.

Program Objectives
  • Provide teens with individual treatment plans that meet targeted physical, emotional, social and psychological needs, as identified by psychosocial and physical assessments.
  • Help teens establish and maintain positive and healthy physical, psychological, and emotional states.
  • Assist teens in the development of constructive behaviors, social skills, and characteristics valued by society in preparation for a productive life.
  • Assist teens in the development of effective coping skills to improve relationships with others.
  • Promote the development of self-esteem, self-confidence, and the ability to trust and take positive risks.
  • Provide teens with therapeutic treatment that supports and facilitates their return to families and/or constructive lifestyles.
