Job Description
Internship Title: Tax Intern Department: Tax Department Overview:TTX Company is looking for a highly motivated student for a Tax Intern position at TTX's headquarters.
The intern will assist with the property tax compliance duties and other miscellaneous tax department responsibilities.
The Tax Internship will last for a full year starting in May or June 2023. The internship will be mostly remote, but a physical presence may be required in the Chicago office during the mandatory TTX office days (4 days a month) plus other flexible days based on the team needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Assist the property tax payment process.
- Assist with property data collection process.
- Develop tables to import or input state assessed values.
- Update the Corptax tax calendar with the tax obligations.
- Help ensure that Oracle fixed assets data is current, and adequately describes the property.
- Assist in preparing property and miscellaneous tax returns, and updating procedure documents to outline the preparation steps required.
- Assist with various tax payment inquiries.
- Assist with other tax matters (i.e. income, sales & use, etc.) as needed.

- Assist the group with combining tax data, processes and technology to arrive with more efficient solutions
- Gain first-hand knowledge of the tax professional's day-to-day responsibilities and the skills needed for future career
Qualifications:- Major(s): Accounting and Finance
- Year in school: completed at least 2 years at an accredited college/university
- Coursework in corporate income tax, preferred
- Technology-related coursework highly desirable
